How long will it take?
I work with clients in both short and long term treatments. Treatment length is determined by an individual client’s needs. I provide support and guidance through short term, acute periods of stress. I also engage with clients on a longer term basis to develop insight and awareness into longstanding, sometimes intergenerational, issues.
How much do you charge per session?
Fees are discussed in the initial phone consultation. I believe that ability to pay should not be a prohibiting factor in having access to therapy, and for this reason, I accept a number of clients on a sliding fee scale. Sliding fee scale treatment is subject to availability.
How do I pay for treatment?
I accept cash, check, and credit card payments. Payment is due for each session at the time of service. There is a 3.5% processing charge applied to payments that are made by credit card.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept any insurance plans. I firmly believe that cost should not be a prohibiting factor in accessing quality care. As such, I have devoted a number of sliding fee scale slots within my practice.
At the end of each month of treatment, I will provide you with a paper copy of a receipt for services rendered for your records. These invoices contain all the pertinent information required by insurance companies for out-of-network benefit coverage. Prior to beginning treatment, you may wish to contact your insurance company and inquire about out-of-network coverage.
I will assist you in completing any necessary documentation required for you to receive out-of-network coverage. If this documentation requires more than 30 minutes to complete, I will charge a fee for completion of documentation at my hourly rate.
What is your cancellation policy?
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Payment in full is due for any sessions cancelled within 24 hours. I will waive this cancellation fee if we are able to reschedule the cancelled session within the week of the cancelled appointment. This is contingent upon availability in my schedule and therefore may not always be possible.
